Double thanks for your patience. Although we plan on eventually allowing anybody to create an account at will, we're currently in a very small testing phase and do not want to expand too quickly, so for the time being we are moderating requests to create events.

(Naturally we reserve the right to close your account if it is deemed necessary. We expect it won't come to that, of course, as long as common sense is observed.)
